Hi SoCal VSA Fans;
The Annual Holiday luncheon is around the corner and we will be having this event at a new location, Rosie’s BBQ and Grill in Northridge on 12/13/14 from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM. You can visit Rosie’s web site at: http://www.rosiesbbq.com/ordereze/default.aspx for their menu and directions, etc.
Many thanks to Roger Fritch for the suggestion and arrangements. Kindly let us know asap if you intend to be there so we can provide somewhat of a head count to Rosie’s staff.
We hope that everyone has a great and safe Thanksgiving Day.
The Annual Swap Meet is set for Saturday Nov. 8, 2014 at Swedish Speed Inc. located in Perris, CA. This is a great opportunity to trade, swap, barter or buy Volvo parts old and new for all ages and models. This free event is from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and vendors are encouraged to bring your own tables, chairs and EZ-UP (shade providers). Refreshments and BBQ items will also be available and or bring your own lunch and snacks.

Our Annual SoCal VSA Oct. tour will be on Sunday 19, 2014 and this year we will be on a tour of the San Bernardino Mountains via Oak Glen in the heart of Apple Country. It’s southern California’s largest apple growing region open all year round. There’s more information about Oak Glen at www.oakglen.net.
Everyone is invited and bring the family in your favorite Swedish brand pony for a great ride in the country.
Since a number of you may be coming from all over SoCal via freeways, we’ll have the meeting point at 11:00 AM and will be at a 76 gas station located at 502 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, CA 92223 (north side exit from I-10 for Beaumont Ave/Highway 79). We’ll leave at 11:30 AM and head on up to Oak Glen for a nice climb in elevation of 5000 feet and at least 15 degrees cooler temps. Oak Glen has at least 5 restaurants serving lunch and lots of local apple pies. Afterwards there’s western and apple themed shops to visit since its the peak of the apple season. At your convenience we’ll continue west onto Yucaipa and ultimately connect to the I-10 E/W entrance. This should be about mid afternoon and ample time to return home. We’ll see you then!
